Writing and editing FOAA articles brings new revelations each year, through the people involved and in each individual piece. It always gives me great satisfaction to see the humans behind the features and temporarily feel involved in the various work they do. Preparing every issue brings a roller coaster of emotions, but having a passionate team within FOAA makes the outcome worthwhile each time around.

2017 has been an exceptionally memorable year for FOAA, introducing so many new aspects to the entire brand. The growth in this year’s issue has been a new focus on the men in the fashion industry, including children in our shoots and runway, a touch of International flavour, and mentioning the professional side of our African community in Australia. It gives me pleasure to also introduce and welcome our newest member of the editorial team, Tatenda Muzondo.

FOAA magazine is also expanding its readership reach from predominantly Perth, to Melbourne and Sydney. We have revamped our website to include more stories and categories. We would like to extend an invitation to all our readers to have their voice heard on our platforms one way or another.

I’d like to thank you all for the support thus far, and welcome any comments and feedback directly to me.
