Broadsheet is a city guide covering Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.
The successful subeditor will work across all Broadsheet publications, which include books and Broadsheet’s quarterly papers alongside its website, and will be responsible for the style, tone, grammar, accuracy and consistency of a wide range of editorial.
The successful sub will have a minimum of two years’ experience in similar editing roles, ideally working in a fast-paced, high-output digital newsroom environment. Knowledge of Broadsheet and the culture it covers will be an advantage, as will a familiarity with the ways in which a robust publication can be repackaged socially with speed, clarity, and wit.
The successful sub will report to Broadsheet’s chief subeditor and work with the editors in each city to ensure all Broadsheet editorial delivers on our promise to be the best resource on city culture in Australia.
The role involves close collaboration with departments outside of the editorial team, including marketing and the Broadsheet Studio.
This is a key role within Broadsheet and an opportunity to have a significant impact in one of Australia’s most recognized, reputable and innovative digital publishers.
At least two years sub-editing experience, preferably at a digital publisher

We can provide the right applicant with a competitive salary of $34,200 (including super).
